1. Room Re-do

I have been constantly redecorating my room since I was around 7 or 8. Seriously, it’s been an ongoing, never-ending process (mainly because my taste was always changing growing up). Now that I am older and more settled in my taste, I’ve decided to do the biggest bedroom redesign I have ever tackled.

    1. Take all mismatched (and not the good mismatched, mind you) things off of the wall and paint them to create a uniform look.
    2. Uninstall old 90’s wood and gold ceiling fan (ew) and paint that, too. Maybe get new glass for the light fixture part.
    3. Finish painting the last wall (I ran out of paint last time).
    4. (Here’s the part I’m looking forward to the most) Paint a chunky, white chevron pattern over my already cream walls on one wall as a discrete accent.
    5. Sew and hang curtains.
    6. Sew new bedding (oh yea, I’m making my own duvet cover).
    7. Finishing touches: rearranging furniture, hanging things in new places on the walls, painting over that weird purple paint splatter on the ceiling from when my sister lived in my room, etc.

I know I could have done all of this without anyone knowing, but since a lot of this redesign is going to be DIY and a design all my own, I am very proud of it. I’ll post pictures when I’m done (but, that might be in a couple of months… hopefully not though).

    Wish me luck!

And if you have any advice or links to interesting DIY projects, let me know!
